As the project was deeply personal to the client’s team, we established a proven hand-drawn workflow that ensured continuous involvement of the client and their team throughout the production process. We began with visual development, focusing heavily on researching the world-building elements that existed within the Khalsa Family Series books and other media. We aimed to amplify elements that were spiritually significant and resonated with the existing audience, making sure the final product was highly reminiscent of the book. A VFX style was developed to adapt effect features from the book, which was a significant part of the development process.

The storyboard and animatic stages allowed us to establish key camera movement and character motion, ensuring harmony between the visuals and the music. We critically analyzed motion and timing against the beat of the music to guarantee perfect synchronisation.

After locking the storyboard and animatic, the animation stages were broken down into keys, inbetweens, cleanup, and colour stages, and we reviewed the progress periodically with the client to ensure that we met the standards. We understood that continuous communication with the client was vital for the project’s success.

Finally, the compositing stage was the final marriage of the animation, VFX, backgrounds, and camera motion. We dedicated our time and expertise to ensure that all elements came together seamlessly to create a remarkable final product that exceeded our client’s expectations.
